Requirements And Guidelines

GENERAL INFORMATION  FOR  APPLICANTS

  • Scholarships are intended for nationals of Trinidad and Tobago unless otherwise stated.
  • Preference may be given to study in those areas or sectors which have been identified as priority in terms of this country’s human resource requirements.

Applications for all scholarships offered by the Government of Trinidad and Tobago must be supported by:

  • A complete Curriculum Vitae
  • Plan of Study in the case of post graduate studies
  • Copies of all academic certificates, degrees or diplomas
  • Official Academic Transcripts
  • Two References. In the case of post graduate studies one reference should be from the academic institution last attended by the applicant
  • Birth Certificates with affidavit in cases where the names of applicants do not appear on their Birth Certificates or where names appearing on certificates differ from those appearing on other documents.
  • Proof of change of name, if necessary

N.B. All original documentation must be produced at the time of application.

Applicants must arrange for their transcripts and letters of reference to be sent directly to:

Interested persons applying from abroad must:

  • Have a copy of their original Birth Certificate certified by a Notary Public or by the Trinidad and Tobago Government Diplomatic Mission in the country concerned;
  • Submit completed application forms with supporting documents through the Trinidad and Tobago Government Diplomatic Mission in the country from which they are applying.

Applicants who are Public Officers/Employees of Statutory Authorities must submit their application through their Permanent Secretaries/Heads of Departments/Heads of Statutory Authorities, as appropriate. 

Applications which do not adhere to the above  instructions, or are submitted after the closing date will not be accepted.
