Did you know that as a Government scholar you are obligated to serve the Government of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago (GORTT)?

In consideration of the grant of a Scholarship,  the Student agrees, on the conclusion or termination of his/her course of study: -

To return immediately after the completion or termination of his/her course of study unless otherwise permitted by the written approval of the Permanent Secretary Ministry of Public Administration and Information, to Trinidad and Tobago and report  to the Scholarships and Advanced Training Division (SATD), Ministry of Public Administration and Information.

To accept employment in the service of the GORTT, if his/her services are required, in such capacity and at such remuneration as the Permanent Secretary may determine, for the prescribed Period of Obligatory Service which is related to the cost of the Scholarship as indicated hereunder: -

Cost of Scholarship                   Period of Obligatory Service

Up to $50,000                                                    One (1) year

Over $50,000 and up to $100,000                       Two (2) years

Over $100,000 and up to $150,000                     Three (3) years

Over $150,000 and up to $200,000                     Four (4) years

Over $200,000                                                  Five (5) years
